Short story: Blinded by the Devil
‘A thieving revenge mission: this is nothing more’
Aiden is gripped by an overpowering sense of unfinished business. He took the risk yet got no reward. The reward that he was promised.
A golden ticket was offered, a golden ticket that would change his future — but it was all snatched away from him.
Now he’s now lost his job. And now he’s lost his direction.
The events of that day do not make sense and Aiden wants answers, and he won’t stop until he gets them — but will he like what he uncovers?
Extract from Blinded by the Devil:
‘… The trepidation has also returned, mimicking his feelings of that previous commute at the dawn of that fateful day. A thieving revenge mission: this is nothing more, and Aiden makes no bones about it. True desperation is the root cause. His original actions of even delving into this seemingly illegal world were an anomaly, or a blip against his usually subservient nature, and it had seen him lose his job.
Even now knowing how it all played out, he questions whether he would repeat his actions if given the chance to go back — and for that, his one-man jury is still out. But for now, the past is the past, and his unyielding motivation to re-claim what is his, will hopefully, restore his future.’
